Is registration free? Registration on TALK PANEL is entirely free, and you will not be asked for any payment.
Now I’ve joined the TALK PANEL, what happens next? Once you have joined TALK PANEL as a Panel member you will be sent survey invitations to your email address from time to time. Clicking on a link in the invitation email will take you directly to the survey.
How often will I be invited to take part in online surveys? It all depends on your profile. You could receive anything up to 4 invitations per month. You are free to take part in as many of the surveys you are invited to participate in as you wish. In general, how long does an online survey take? A survey lasts on average 5 to 15 minutes. We try to ensure that all the surveys will be as short, simple and relevant as possible.
Will you try to sell me something? No, the information you share with us is purely for market research purposes. Under no circumstances will these surveys make you use or recommend a product or service nor will we attempt to promote a product or service through a survey.
How long do I have to answer? Usually you have 2 - 3 days to answer the survey. The email invitation to the survey will let you know the closing date of the survey.
What incentives are available? Prize draws will be run every month. The value of the prize draw on offer may vary from survey to survey but you will be informed of the prizes on offer and the terms and conditions when you are invited to take part in the survey.
How is a winner chosen? Prize Draw winners are chosen at random, giving every survey respondent an equal chance of winning a prize.
Do I have to do anything if I win a prize?
If you are chosen as a winner, we will send you an e-mail confirming your prize and asking for furthur important details. If you do not respond to this e-mail or we cannot get in contact with you in 28 days, it may be offered to another entrant, as per our terms and conditions. However if you win, you are under no obligation to accept the prize. If you decline a prize, it may be offered to another entrant, as above.
What are the terms & conditions of the prize draw? These will be communicated to you when you are invited to take part in a survey.
I’ve forgotten my username or password: what do I do? If you have forgotten your password, click on "forgot my login or password" below the login area and enter your email address. You will then receive an email with your password and username.
How do I change my password and my e-mail address? To change your password and email address, you should login, then click on 'Registration/My Profile' in your personal area. Enter your new password and then confirm it. For your email address, enter your new address and click on ‘Confirm changes’.
How can I change my personal information? To change your personal information you must login and go to your personal area. You will then have access to all your data, which you can modify at any time. Remember to click ‘Confirm changes’ after modifying your details.
How do I leave the TALK PANEL? You can terminate your membership at any time by unsubscribing from the Panel; this can be done by email or in writing. What will you do with the information I share with you? The TALK PANEL collects some personal data about each member for a number of reasons. First, it enables us to contact you about research to take part in and any prize you have won. Secondly, it enables us to contact you with just those surveys which are relevant to you. Thirdly, it helps us to analyse our survey data by for example, your gender, age, or what region you live in. When this is done, the results will be shown only in aggregated form (i.e. everyone’s answers added together) and it will not be possible for any individual respondent to be identified from the results.
TALK PANEL takes the security of your personal data very seriously and abides by the UK Market Research Society Code of Conduct and the UK Data Protection Act 1998. This means that your data will be secure and will never be passed on to third parties without your permission. For more on this, please see our privacy policy.
Who reads the findings? In most cases the research will be used internally by TALK PANEL to inform us about the products and services customers want from us. However, from time to time research findings may be commissioned specially for publication, and you may see the results of our surveys in newspapers and on television. In such cases, no individual respondent will be identifiable in any way.
Will I get spam as a result of signing up to TALK PANEL? No. The Panel has been created purely for marketing research purposes and your personal data will not be shared with or sold to third parties. Your contact details will only be used by TALK PANEL to contact you for TALK PANEL research.
